Patterns

"Patterns" can have many forms:

• Dress patterns;
• Software design patterns;
• Tool & die patterns;
• Other patterns;
• These patterns are increasingly used in many fields.

"Informal" Patterns: Sometimes described as "A re-usable solution to a type of problem in a context"

Systematica Methodology defines Patterns as configurable, re-usable Models (and Models as the minimum information necessary to explicitly describe the requirements and design of a system).

• Exploiting these patterns can dramatically improve ability of internal processes to handle complexity, using Pattern-Based System Processes (PBSP) methods.
